Cheap Pitching Machines
I get strange ideas that I enjoy writing down sometimes. Now I'm thinking about all the things that you can do with cheap pitching machines. I have one already, but have the sudden urge to own several. I like baseball a lot. But who doesn't, right? Most of us grew up with it. I don't get to play as much as I'd like though. I use the one I have for the obvious reasons the most. It will improve my swing, after all. And even if I can only play in an actual game, maybe once a month, I still want to show off some skills when that day comes.

I also use cheap pitching machines as a form of exercise. I get out into my yard a couple times a week and just swing away at fastballs for an hour or so. It just makes the time pass so quickly that I don'r even realize that I'm getting any exercise half the time. It does get the heartrate up and eventually tire you out if you go long enough. So I know it's doing good things for my body. That isn't so strange. But I do have more for you.
You remember when you were a kid and you built a fort in your yard? Well I was considering doing that as a summer project one of these days. But I wanted my fort to have a medieval twist to it. So I was thinking that I could make towers, and a moat, and use cheap pitching machines as canons to protect it form pirates. Of course, there are no real pirates, so I would have to get bails of hay or something to put pirate clothes on. Like a scarecrow effect. I could dress them in tricorne hats and eyepatches and defend my encampment by firing volleys off from my cheap pitching machines. I think that would be fun.
I shared this idea with one of my friends and he said that I am in desperate need of a girlfriend. This may be true. Bur I don't see what that has to do with having a little harmless fun. A lot of people do things that seem silly to those who aren’t into it. Just because I want to do them with cheap pitching machines, that doesn't make me any weirder, does it?
There are people who are into Star Wars so much that they live the Jedi code, and others who like Dungeons and Dragons type card games. Well, I like baseball. Homeruns and lline drives, and running, and catching. It all seems exciting to me. I also happen to have fond memories of childhood adventures in pretend fortresses. My yard is big enough to do this safely now. I can set it up in a way that there is no chance of a random baseball hitting anyone. My neighbors won't be disturbed. So, exactly what's worn with me shooting at scarecrows with cheap pitching machines? Why do there have to be suggestions of my possible loneliness just because this is cool to me?
